Ingleton based Season’s Bakery produces Britain’s Best Loaf 2017
Dan Nemeth, owner of Seasons Bakery in Ingleton, was presented with the award for Britain’s Best Loaf 2017 at the recent Farm Shop and Deli Show, held at Birmingham’s NEC in April.
Dan’s award-winning beetroot multi-seed sourdough rose above the competition and was the standout winner from the Britain’s Best Loaf Award 2017 five categories: white, sourdough, innovation, wholegrain and gluten free. The winning loaf takes three days to make and uses six different types of seeds, getting its distinct flavour from grated and slow-roasted beetroot.
You’ll find 30 or more varieties of sourdough at Seasons Bakery, each one having been fermented for at least 48 hours to develop their characteristic flavour. They also produce a wide variety of other non-sourdough breads, as well as pies, cakes and traybakes.
